“The slogan of today’s meeting is Bridge to Future. It offers the platform for discussions of economic development tendencies, our common goals, future plans and perspectives for coping with regional and global crises,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the official opening ceremony of the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Georgia.
According to the PM, the phrase Bridge to Future best reflects Georgia’s course.
“With our decisions and steps, we create a more developed, economically strong, safe and protected future for future generations.
This vision is strengthened by our strategic geographical location, which makes Georgia a connecting bridge between Europe and Asia. Our unique location allows us to be part of Europe at the same time, and at the same time, we can proudly hold the status of one of the heirs of the historic Silk Road.
As you know, with our strategic transport corridors, we play an important role in the operation of the Middle Corridor, which has been established as a stable, safe and reliable alternative to other routes.
We will continue to offer the best business environment for Asian businesses and investors and provide opportunities for them to expand in the region,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
