Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili attended Europe Days celebrations at Orbeliani Square.

“Warm Greetings to all of you! Firstly, I would like to thank you so much for being here. I want to welcome our friends: the EU Ambassador, Mister Herczynski, the Ambassador of Sweden, and our Mayor, Kakha Kaladze. As you know, we are celebrating Europe Days. Yesterday, together with their Excellencies, Ambassadors, we celebrated the opening of Europe Days. You are also aware that we marked Day of Spain yesterday, since Spain is about to officially assume the EU Presidency. In the meantime, as you know, Sweden will retain the EU Presidency, which is why offer you Day of Sweden today. Once again, I would like to thank everyone, our guests from Spain who offered a pleasant evening to our audiences yesterday. And today we have a Swedish evening with cultural elements. Thus, I once again thank you and wish you a pleasant evening,” Irakli Garibashvili said.

Within the scope of Europe Days, Day of Sweden was held today in Orbeliani Square. To celebrate Day of Sweden, Swedish chef Gustav Leonhardt delivered a masterclass. An exhibition and sale of books by Swedish authors was also organized as part of Day of Sweden. Day of Sweden concluded with performances by the Swedish group Riltons Vänner and singer Sofia Karlsson.
