PM Ali Asadov congratulates Georgian PM on his re-election

Ali Asadov, the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia and the new Georgian government.

“I am confident that your visit to Azerbaijan will make a significant contribution to the development of relations between our countries,” Asadov stated during the opening of the 10th meeting of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Asadov noted that 2024 has been a crucial year for both Azerbaijan and Georgia. For the first time in Azerbaijan’s history, presidential and parliamentary elections were held on its sovereign territory. Similarly, Georgia held parliamentary and presidential elections. Asadov stated that the results of these elections reflected the will of the Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples.

“I would like to express my gratitude for this opportunity and to congratulate you once again on your re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia and the establishment of a new government,” Asadov said. “I am confident that our governments, working constructively and in a closely coordinated manner, will contribute to the development and well-being of our peoples.”

Asadov emphasized that his country values its relations with Georgia and sees this visit as an important manifestation of respect between the two nations.

“I want to express our deep appreciation for this visit, which will once again demonstrate our respect for the relations between our countries,” Asadov said.

Asadov added that his country believes that the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia are working closely together and are making every effort to support the development and well-being of their people.
