PM accuses opposition and opposition TVs of operating with illicit funds

“Everyone knows that the entire opposition and all opposition-aligned television stations operate and are financed with illicit money,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared to journalists.

The head of government emphasized that specific political forces are impeding the healthy functioning of the democratic system.

“It’s common knowledge that the entire opposition and all opposition-leaning television stations operate and are financed with illicit funds. This isn’t breaking news, although new details have emerged regarding this issue. All of these indicate that these political forces are playing a highly negative role in our political life. They are obstructing the healthy functioning of the democratic system, and the fact that specific television stations and media outlets have been transformed into instruments of propaganda and falsehoods is particularly due to the role of illicit money. The relevant agencies will investigate this matter,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
