Philip T. Reeker -We believe that Georgia and its population have no better friends than the US and American people
“According to the ordinance of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, I am in Georgia today to say that we believe Georgia and its population have no better friends than the US and American people”, – Acting US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip T. Reeker said at the international conference organized by the McCain Institute and the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC). As he stated, both countries fight for the same mission in Afghanistan. Both countries have developed strong partnerships in many areas.
“We want this partnership to grow further. We will work together as friends, partners and ultimately as allies. Those who have questions related to US loyalty should look at the facts.
Sometimes it is important to awaken society on both sides of the Atlantic to learn what we share 75 years after the end of World War II when the great brains of America looked across the Atlantic and realized that it was important to set up institutions to prevent another disaster like World War II.
Actually, the “Cold War” began, but we were able to maintain to keep the period of lasting peace and incredible prosperity in Europe that continued after the 1990s, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of communism and the Soviet Union. This is based on shared values”, – Philip T. Reeker said.
