People’s Power to participate in local elections in coalition with Georgian Dream

“We will participate in the local government elections jointly, in a coalition with the Georgian Dream,” declared Guram Macharashvili, the executive secretary of the People’s Power party.

He emphasised that People’s Power will be represented both in parliament and at the municipal level.

“Our participation in the local government elections will be based on consultations and conducted jointly within a coalition with the Georgian Dream. Our political organisation will have representation across various municipalities and city councils [Sakrebulo], just as we are represented in parliament and at the local level.

I am confident that the candidates we have selected for the Tbilisi Sakrebulo will succeed. Most of them are well-acquainted with Tbilisi’s infrastructure projects and those of other districts, as well as educational, social, and cultural issues. They understand the concerns of their constituents deeply, and I am confident that they will perform well in the single-mandate system,” Macharashvili stated.
