Funding for health and social programs will be increased by GEL 770 million beginning in January 2023, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said during the Cabinet Meeting.
Pensions for persons aged 70 and above will now be GEL 365, while those living in mountainous regions would receive GEL 440. Financial assistance for persons with limited physical capabilities and socially vulnerable children will also rise.
Police officers, military, and security personnel would see their pay boosted by 20%, according to Irakli Garibashvili.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Defense Ministry, and State Security Service budgets will increase by GEL 490 million.
