“Many videos and photos have been spread from the site of the Russian military operations in the city of Bucha in Ukraine. Despite the brutal ‘laws’ of war, such gravity, which can be seen in the footage, is hard to imagine. It is impossible to watch all this without being completely shocked,” the Georgian Patriarchate said in its statement.
The Georgian Orthodox Church (GOC)expresses sorrow over the tragedy that is happening in Ukraine.
“We want to once again express our deep sorrow and grief over the tragedy that is taking place in the context of military aggression in Ukraine. It is especially difficult to see the killing of civilians, innocent people.
We sympathize with their families and we pray for them. May peace be established in Ukraine and the whole world!” reads the GOC statement.
