Patriarch thanks Mikheil Saakashvili for congratulating him on his enthronement 

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II has sent a letter to jailed ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, thanking him for congratulating him on his enthronement.

In His letter, the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church wished jailed ex-President a happy birthday and a happy new year.

“I wish you health, boldness, and, most essentially, divine intervention to strengthen your spiritual powers and allow you to encounter the other, genuine reality,” reads the letter.
