Patriarch Ilia II: When Lord sends us hardships, he also gives us power to overcome it

“We must remember that when the Lord sends us hardships, he also gives us the power to overcome it,” Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, said following a liturgy at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.

In his blessing, the Patriarch reminded the parishioners that God never leaves them, leads them, and loves them.

On October 14, Georgia celebrates Svetitskhovloba, a day of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta, recognized as the home of Christ’s mantle.
