Parliamentary majority to table bill to 'protect society from pseudo-liberal ideology'

The parliamentary majority plans to table a legislative initiative that will “protect society from pseudo-liberal ideology and its unavoidable negative consequences.”

According to the majority leader, Mamuka Mdinaradze, the draft bill would be developed and introduced in parliament within the next two weeks.

“The draft law will completely follow the principles and norms outlined in the second article of Georgia’s Constitution.

The rights of each of our citizens must be and will be protected in principle, regardless of their lifestyle.

However, we are responsible for Georgian society and its future to fight against the purposeful promotion of a non-traditional lifestyle.

All those who feel responsible for these values are obliged and encouraged to actively participate in this process,” Mdinaradze stated.
