Parliamentary delegation meets Quincy Institute Director

Within the framework of the U.S. visit, the Georgian parliamentary delegation members met Quincy Institute Director Anatol Lieven and researchers.

According to the parliament’s press service, the meeting focused on the U.S. new administration’s foreign policy, including in the South Caucasus region, and the recent developments in the Near East.

The sides reviewed the Russia-Ukraine war, ongoing processes in Georgia, security challenges, and attempts and facts of foreign influence.

The parties also discussed the prospects for the Middle Corridor development and the U.S. Administration’s viewpoint about the project.

The delegation, led by Foreign Relations Committee Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, comprises Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee Chair Mariam Lashkhi, EU Integration Committee member Lika Shartava and People’s Power member Eka Sepiashvili.
