Parliamentary delegation discusses Georgia–EU relations in Luxembourg Parliament
As part of their visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, MP Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, and MP Levan Makhashvili, the Chairman of the European Integration Committee, held an expanded meeting at the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies.
Gusty Graas, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, and Marc Hansen, the Chairman of the Defence Committee, hosted the meeting. Members from various other committees of the Chamber of Deputies also participated in the expanded format.
The two sides discussed in detail the dynamic of Georgia–EU relations over recent years, as well as upcoming plans. It was emphasised that resetting relations is in the strategic interest of both parties, and that both sides will continue their efforts to this end.
Furthermore, the Georgian and Luxembourgish parliamentarians reviewed the current situation in the Russian-occupied regions of Georgia, ongoing political, security, and economic developments in Georgia and the wider Black Sea region, as well as a broad spectrum of bilateral ties.
