Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues sets quotas for price inquiry commission

The Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues has established the composition quotas for the Parliamentary Commission tasked with investigating high prices.

The commission will comprise 14 members, led by Shota Berekashvili, the chair of the sectoral committee.

It will include seven members from the Georgian Dream party and seven from the opposition. Specifically, Giorgi Gakharia’s team will hold three seats, the People’s Power party will also have three, and the European Socialists party will have one.

The commission aims to operate until the end of April to investigate the factors contributing to the high consumer prices in Georgia.
