Parliament to expeditiously review SEPA-related legislative initiatives
The Georgian Parliament will expeditiously review the legislative initiatives, developed as per EU Integration Committee-approved recommendations, necessary for Georgia’s accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), the Parliament’s press service reported.
EU Integration Committee Chair, Maka Bochorishvili, believes joining SEPA would benefit many areas.
“It will add more credibility to the Georgian banking sector in the international arena and simplify trade relations with the European Economic Area. Also, Georgian citizens will benefit from simplified services, paramount amid a growing trend of remittances from EU countries,” Maka Bochorishvili asserted.
