The Parliament has prematurely terminated the parliamentary mandates of 49 members from three opposition alliances – Coalition for Change – Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa, Strong Georgia – Lelo for People, for Freedom and United National Movement. The voting on this issue took place during today’s plenary session.
The termination of parliamentary mandates for the 49 opposition alliance members was voted on individually.
As a reminder, three opposition alliances appealed to Parliament in writing to terminate their parliamentary mandates.
The party Gakharia for Georgia refuses to enter Parliament. However, they have not officially written a statement and have not appealed to Parliament requesting the termination of their mandates.
