Parliament Speaker meets Vice-Presidents of Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with Vice-Presidents of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg and Members of Parliament. The deliberation touched upon the enhancement of bilateral relations and intensification of parliamentary ties.

Shalva Papuashvili noted that the relations with Luxembourg, as one of the NATO and EU founding members, bear particular significance for Georgia.

The Speaker introduced the progress achieved in compliance with the EU recommendations.

The side of Luxembourg expressed the commitment to further develop bilateral and multilateral relations with Georgia. As the host side noted, Luxembourg supports Georgia’s efforts on the EU membership path.

The parties touched upon the developments in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea regions and underlined Georgia’s increasing transit role and its geopolitical importance.

The Georgian Parliamentary Delegation, headed by the Speaker, is composed of MPs Maka Botchorishvili, Giorgi Amilakhvari, Khatia Tsilosani, Rima Beradze, Elguja Gotsiridze and Khatuna Samnidze.
