Parliament Speaker: Ambassador Fischer talks about disinformation while German Federal Foreign Office website spreads it

“As for the appointment of our ambassador to Germany, I believe all of this is linked to Peter Fischer. As long as he remains here, neither the credentials will be presented, nor will they correct their website,” stated the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to him, “this is entirely due to the Peter Fischer factor, who harbours a personal animosity towards the Georgian government.”

“His attitude has become deeply personal. In my view, he has made it a condition that as long as he is here, there will be no changes in stance towards Georgia. Once he leaves Georgia, let us see whether the website suddenly gets corrected by chance and the truth is written. Peter Fischer discusses disinformation, yet the German Federal Foreign Office’s website is actively spreading it. We are counting down the days until he leaves us, and we shall see how things turn out,” Papuashvili said.
