Parliament approves Tamaz Borashvili as State Security Service Chief
The Georgian Parliament has approved Tamaz Borashvili’s candidacy for head of the State Security Service (SSSG).
A total of 83 MPs voted in favor of Borashvili, with none voting against.
For context, former SSSG chief Geka Geladze left the position on September 14. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze nominated Tamaz Borashvili as his successor.
