Parliament adopted draft-bill about abolishment of school graduation exams
Parliament has approved the draft-bill about abolishment of school graduation exams of Law on General Education. 80 MPs voted in favor of the bill, eight against.
The draft-bill has been put for voting at the extraordinary session of the Parliament today.
The Parliament of Georgia did not support the legislative initiative on abolishment of school graduation exams with its final, third reading on April 5. The draft failed to get votes as just 54 lawmakers voted in favor of the draft law and there were not enough votes for it to pass. According to the ruling team named technical problems as a reason for the failure of the draft-bill.
