More than 150,000 pensioners will benefit from a reduced loan interest, the decision was made at a meeting held by the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Acting President of the National Bank of GeorgiA, Natia Turnava, and the General Director of Liberty Bank, Beka Gogichaishvili.
The interest on loans taken by over 150,000 pensioners prior to 2023 will be lowered to match the interest charged since 2023.
Liberty Bank will continue to work with the National Bank on this matter, the government’s press office added.
