A senior delegation of parliamentarians from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, led by OSCE PA President Pere Joan Pons Sampietro, will pay a visit to Georgia from 8-10 March, the press service of the OSCE PA reported.
Pere Joan Pons (Spain), President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will chair the delegation. The delegation will comprise Luís Graça (Portugal), Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly & Special Representative on South Caucasus; Jevrosima Pejović (Montenegro), Vice-Chair, Committee on Political Affairs and Security; Baroness Christine Blower (United Kingdom), Vice Chair, Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions; and Roberto Montella, Secretary General (OSCE PA).
According to the statement, the visit will provide an opportunity for members of the OSCE PA to engage and exchange views with Georgian interlocutors on recent political developments and issues related to democracy, security and regional stability.
“The parliamentarians will meet with a wide range of political actors and representatives from civil society, to discuss the OSCE PA’s continued engagement with Georgia,” reads the statement.
