Opposition to rally at two locations on November 12

The opposition will hold protest rallies at two different locations, Didube and 300 Aragvel subway stations in Tbilisi, on November 12.

Nika Melia, Chairman of the United National Movement (UNM) party, said the jailed ex-president’s decision to stop the hunger strike confirms that the opposition wants development rather than dragging the government into provocation.

UNM Chair said earlier on Thursday that the only plan now is not to stop and continue the peaceful protest. “There is only one plan. No relief. This government and this regime will collapse peacefully step by step,” Melia claimed.

Nika Melia vowed the government should have no illusion that the protest wave would cease, promising peaceful protests at different locations daily.
