Opposition MPs Khvichia and Godabrelidze left legal committee sitting in protest
Opposition MPs Iago Khvichia and Giorgi Godabrelidze left the meeting of the parliamentary legal committee, where MPs are debating on the Transparency of Foreign Influence bill with its second reading, in protest.
Iago Khvichia stated that the chairman of the committee, Anri Okhanashvili, does not allow lawmakers to ask questions, thereby, the parliament loses its content.
According to him, MPs are prohibited from asking harsh questions, which is unacceptable.
At the parliament’s legal committee’s sitting, the draft law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” is being considered in the second reading.
