Opposition MP Khatuna Samnidze believes Nika Melia, the United National Movement (UNM) former chairman, will quit the party and form a new political force.
Khatuna Samnidze said that internal chaos weakens the opposition flank.
“We need strong opposition parties, more coordination, and an alternative. The party, which faces constant conflicts, cannot achieve that. It is logical if Nika Melia creates a separate party and distances himself from the UNM. I intend to cooperate and talk with all parties, but let’s see what kind of election centre is created,” she said.
Former UNM Chair Nika Melia said the party “faced challenging reality, and it might force him to struggle from another platform.”
