Opposition MP considers banning political parties a "fascist slogan"
Opposition MP Roman Gotsiridze considers that calling to ban a political party is a fascist slogan. If the Georgian Constitution should outlaw any party, it is the People’s Party and other pro-Russian forces.
Roman Gotsiridze remarked on MP Sozar Subari’s comments, stating that the People’s Party proposes that Parliament investigate and prosecute UNM’s illegal conduct.
Subari, according to Gotsiridze, named Moldova, where a pro-Russian party was outlawed, and it was the People’s Party that articulated the Kremlin’s viewpoint “letter for letter.”
“This is nonsense, cheap PR campaigning by people who directly support Russian interests,” Gotsiridze remarked.
