Opposition MP cheers for Russia’s to weaken
“The latest developments in Russia demonstrated that the Georgian government is cheering for the status quo,” said opposition MP Khatia Dekanoidze at the plenary.
According to Dekanoidze, Putin faces serious problems that will probably lead to civil conflict in Russia.
“I cheer for everything that will weaken Russia, and this will happen soon,” she said, scolding the ruling party for keeping silent for almost two days.
Georgia’s jailed ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili said Russian President Vladimir Putin has several weeks left.
Over the weekend, the situation in Russia escalated after Yevgeny Prigozhin, who heads the Wagner private military group, marched his troops into two Russian cities and pledged to blockade Moscow if Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and top general Valery Gerasimov did not meet with him.
