Opposition leaders gather at Orbelian Palace to sign President's Georgian Charter

Opposition political party representatives gathered at the Orbelian Palace to sign the Georgian Charter initiated by President Salome Zourabichvili.

The opposition representatives Eka Beselia, Elene Khoshtaria, Zurab Japaridze, Paata Davitaia, Tako Charkviani, Gia Gachechiladze, Mamuka Khazaradze, Nika Melia, Giga Bokeria, Paata Manjgaladze and others have already arrived at the Palace and signed the document. They supported the Charter, believing it correctly emphasizes key priorities.

However, the Girchi and For Georgia parties declined to sign the Charter at this stage.

Eka Beselia, leader of the For Justice party, stated that she was involved in drafting the document. An oppositionist emphasized that the document is aligned with a pro-Western, European agenda, urging all to support it.

President Zourabichvili introduced the Georgian Charter action plan to political parties on May 26.
