Several opposition parties are boycotting the autumn session of the Parliament of Georgia, which began today.
Vice-Speaker Gia Volski noted that members of various opposition groups, including Tamar Charkviani, Tamar Kordzaia, Grigol Vashadze, Aleko Elisashvili, Davit Bakradze, Armaz Akhvlediani, and Salome Samadashvili, have formally notified the Parliament’s Bureau of their absence from the plenary sessions scheduled for September 3-6.
The parties participating in the boycott include the United National Movement – Strength in Unity, Group of Reforms, Lelo, Eurooptimists, Freedom, and For National and Democratic State. These opposition groups remain in boycott mode, continuing their protest against the current political situation.
