Official welcome ceremony held for Turkmen President at Presidential Palace [Photos]

An official welcome ceremony for Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow was held at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi as part of his official visit to Georgia.

The national anthems of Georgia and Turkmenistan were performed during the ceremony.

Following the official reception, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and President Berdimuhamedow were scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting.

On the second day of the visit, Berdimuhamedow is set to meet Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Bilateral meetings with Georgian cabinet ministers are also planned.

President Berdimuhamedov arrived in Georgia earlier on an official visit. Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani welcomed the delegation at Tbilisi International Airport.
