Occupation regime illegally detains Georgian citizen

Tskhinvali occupation regime unlawfully detained yet another Georgian citizen, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported, ahead of the next round of the Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) Group meeting in Ergneti village.

According to the SSG Analytical Department Deputy Director, Irakli Antadze, the central government got informed about the illegal detention through the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) hotline in Georgia.

Antadze said the Georgian side would discuss the situation across the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) for the last two months and approximately 70 facts of illegal borderization in 2022.

The occupation Tskhinvali regime keeps seven Georgian citizens in illegal imprisonment.
