Number of Georgia int'l visits up 274,8% in February 2022

In February 2022, 151,870 international visits have been carried out to Georgia, showing a 274.8% increase compared to the same period of last year, the Georgian National Tourism Administration announced on Thursday.

Statistics show that 78,571 visits were made by land, 72,326 by air, 559 by rail and 414 by sea.

The top ten countries from where visits have been carried out in February were:

  1. Turkey – 29,606 visitors
  2. Russia – 20,876 visitors
  3. Armenia – 17,366 visitors
  4. Georgia (non-resident) – 15,856 visitors
  5. Israel – 8,779 visitors
  6. Ukraine – 8,601 visitors
  7. Azerbaijan – 7,562 visitors
  8. Kazakhstan – 4,121 visitors
  9. Belarus – 3,446 visitors
  10. Iran – 3,272 visitors

In January 2022, 177,072 international visits have been carried out to Georgia, showing a 424.4% increase compared to the same period of last year.
