Noise and verbal confrontation at Parliamentary Committee sitting

A technical break has been announced at a sitting of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues due to noise and verbal confrontation in the meeting hall.

After when the chairman of the committee, Anri Okhanashvili announced that the voting procedure for judicial candidates has started, MP Eka Beselia approached him and did not allow him to chair the sitting.

Independent deputies, as well as representatives of the National Movement, demanded postponement of the sitting, since, according to them, the voting procedure should not take place during the sessional week. According to them, holding a sitting now is illegitimate.
