No parishioners to be allowed to attend Holy Fire descending ceremony

There will reportedly be 15 representatives of different Eastern Orthodox churches during the descent of the fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. No parishioners will be allowed to attend the ceremony.

The Holy fire will be brought to Georgia today. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the holy fire will be brought by a special flight, which will also bring Georgian citizens from Tel Aviv to Tbilisi today.

“The holy fire will be brought from Jerusalem to Georgia with the flight organized by the Embassy of Georgia in Israel. The Ambassador of Georgia will deliver the Holy Fire directly to the representatives of the Georgian Patriarchate, who will fly to Tel Aviv from Tbilisi,” the Foreign Ministry explained.
