For the first time in the history of independent Georgia, a Georgian athlete has claimed a gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics at the Junior European Championships.
Nita Jamagidze won the historic gold in the clubs discipline. The Georgian gymnast scored 26.900 points in the final to be crowned European Champion.
The Bulgarian city of Varna hosted the 42nd European Championships.
