Nikoloz Basilashvili ends first circle of ATP Tournament successfully
Nikoloz Basilashvili, the Georgian professional tennis player, has successfully ended the first circle of ATP Tournament in Mezzi, France. He defeated his French rival Kenny de Schepper in two sets.
Nikoloz Basilashvili, born on February 23, 1992, is a Georgian professional tennis player. In July 2018, he made it into the main draw of the German Open in Hamburg as a qualifier and went on to win the tournament, defeating Leonardo Mayer in the final and becoming the first Georgian player ever to win an ATP tournament.
On September 10, 2018, Basilashvili moved to No. 31 in the world standings, his highest ever singles ranking.
