Nika Melia: Opposition to keep unity in giving no legitimacy to parliament

“I believe that the opposition will keep unity to the end not to give legitimacy to the parliament, which neither the Georgian people nor the world recognizes,” Nika Melia, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Changes told reporters.

According to Nika Melia, the parliament does not reflect the will of the people.

“The success won at this stage is significant. This is the merit of everybody that the international community and progressive democratic states did not recognize the rigged elections. This non-recognition policy will be firm and continuous on the international level. In parallel, within the country, Georgian society and we the politicians standing with them will be as active as the current complex reality requires.

The Georgian parliament is not the Georgian parliament because the Georgian people do not want it to function and will not commence functioning as the Georgian parliament. It does not reflect the will of people but that of Bidzina Ivanishvili,” he said.
