For the first time the Niagara Falls, the famous landmark of Canada, was illuminated in the colours of the Georgian Flag, to mark the Independence Day of Georgia. The Embassy of Georgia to Canada reported.
Niagara Falls was lit up in colours of the Georgian flag on May 26, at 21:45 Ottawa time for 15 minutes.
The Embassy live-streamed the event on its Facebook page.
In parallel, the national anthems of Georgia and Canada, Georgian folk songs and chants were performed as well.
