New squad of lieutenants joins Georgian Defence Forces

A new squad of lieutenants has joined the Georgian Defence Forces. Seventy-four cadets from the undergraduate program and twenty-eight graduates of the Junior Officer Training School’s candidate course graduated from the Davit Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy. The graduation ceremony was held in Gori.

According to the Defence Ministry, the cadets were awarded the military rank of lieutenant as well as a bachelor’s academic degree in their respective specializations.

Graduates from the candidate course received the primary education of an officer. The leutenants will undergo officers’ basic courses and will serve in the Georgian Defence Forces as Junior Officers.
