New Political Movement "Sartuli - Power of the New Generation" established in Georgia
A new political movement, titled “Sartuli – Power of the New Generation,” has been launched in Georgia. The movement includes members from the organization “12th Floor” (12th Sartuli) as well as young activists who participated in recent protests.
At a press briefing, Vado Machavariani, one of the representatives, emphasized the urgent need for action and progress through tangible deeds.
“We are calling on those who understand that both European and, most importantly, national forces are necessary. We seek individuals who are weary of the old political corruption, who are tired of seeing the present sacrificed for personal interests, and who are dismayed by our future slipping away while people leave the country. We need those who recognize that it is time to take action; beyond toasts and words, we must commit to real work.
Yesterday’s protest clearly demonstrated that we can achieve significant victories through action and resilience, even if they start small. This is our primary focus; we also learned yesterday that people crave less conflict and more unity. That is why we are initiating this movement with clean hands—here and now. Georgia is our homeland; we have no intention of going anywhere, and we are not afraid of anything,” Machavariani stated.
