Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze attended the rehabilitation process of carriages of Tbilisi Subway trains earlier today.
In a video address to Tbilisi residents released through the social network, Kaladze claimed that many people use Subway for transportation means and that the development of public transport remains one of the main priorities of the government.
Tbilisi Mayor said that the design of the carriages would become more modern. Cell-phone chargers and monitors will be installed in the carriages and that subway train drivers will control the movement with video cameras instead of the mirrors. Waiting time will be also reduced.
Kaladze reported that yellow municipal buses would have been fully replaced by ecologically clean buses by the end of 2019.
