NBG Acting President holds B2B meetings

Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, held B2B meetings within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.

The B2B meeting with Richard Teng, head of regional markets of Binance, one of the global crypto ecosystems, noted the company’s interest in Georgia’s developing fintech environment. The discussion also covered the role of international fintech companies in the development of the Georgian market and new regulations related to virtual assets.

The meeting with Pat Patel, Executive Director of Elevandi, pinpointed the importance of increasing the role of fintech. The parties emphasized the need for open dialogue between society and the private sector in the digital economy.

Elevandi, a company founded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, is one of the hosts and organizers of the Singapore Fintech Festival to be held on November 15-17 of this year. The National Bank of Georgia is invited to participate in the festival along with partner Georgian commercial banks and fintech companies. NBG’s fintech achievements will be presented in a specially designated pavilion.
