Georgia’s first NBA Basketball School youth camp will take place for ages 6-18 from September 10-14, with the full programme starting on September 29. Registration is open at www.nbabasketballschool.ge.
Announced on August 13, 2025, the NBA has partnered with JBS Basketball to establish Georgia’s first official NBA Basketball School in Tbilisi. The school offers skill development, matches, 5×5 games, and life skills sessions.
“This is an opportunity for every child to dream big and train like a pro,” Levan Akhvlediani, founder of JBS Academy, said.
“This reflects Georgia’s rich basketball culture, and we aim to support young players’ development and values,” NBA Europe Senior Director Henry Utkum added.
Developed by the NBA’s International Basketball Operations, the curriculum combines insights from NBA coaches, players, and specialists.
Since 2017, NBA Basketball Schools have opened in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Uruguay.
