NATO's Colomina congratulates Georgia on EC's positive recommendation
Javier Colomina, the NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, echoes the European Commission’s decision to recommend that Georgia be granted EU candidate status.
“Congratulations to Georgian authorities and to the Georgian people! The recommendation by the EU Commission to the EU Council to grant candidate status to Georgia is a recognition of the work done by the country and its commitment with shared values,” NATO Representative tweeted.
The European Commission published its annual report on EU enlargement on November 8. The Commission recommended the European Council to grant Georgia the status of a European Union candidate country. The European Council will make the final decision in December.
