NATO Chief says Russia's war in Ukraine could last years

Russia’s war in Ukraine could take years, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told Bild, adding that “We must not let up in supporting Ukraine. Even if the costs are high, not only for military support, also because of rising energy and food prices.”

NATO Chief noted that “If Putin [Russian President] learns from this war [in Ukraine] that he can just continue his actions as he did after the 2008 [August] War with Georgia and the occupation of Crimea in 2014, then we will pay a much higher price.”
