National Wine Agency to employ up to 60 young people during 2026 harvest

The National Wine Agency will employ up to 60 young people as operators at the Harvest Coordination Headquarters and wine-processing enterprises during the 2026 harvest season.

According to the National Wine Agency, the young people were selected through interviews for the operator positions. The selected candidates received specialized training from relevant specialists of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture at the Harvest Coordination Headquarters.

Some of the newly employed operators already have experience performing similar work during previous harvest seasons.

The operators will be responsible for recording and processing data on grape deliveries through the Harvest Registration Program. The program has been in operation in Georgia since 2013 and ensures the collection of comprehensive and accurate data on delivered grapes.

The information is important for the effective management of the harvest process and the production of high-quality wine.

Georgia’s projected grape harvest in 2026 is estimated at 320,000 tonnes.
