An event dedicated to National Teachers’ Day was held at the General Giorgi Kvinitadze Cadet Military School of the Georgian Defense Forces.

The director of the Cadet Military Lyceum, Colonel Malkhaz Goletiani, thanked the teachers for their work and wished them continued success.
As part of the event, teachers and instructors received awards. Other teachers received first-, second- and third-degree medals for exemplary service within the Defense Ministry, as well as valuable gifts and certificates of appreciation.
Following the awards ceremony, the cadets’ creative group presented a literary performance titled “A Footprint in the Future.”
Officials also toured infrastructure projects at the cadet lyceum, including a newly built girls’ dormitory and a paintball field.
The event was attended by Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces; Brigadier General Koba Grigolia, Commander of the Western Command; representatives of the General Giorgi Mazniashvili Cadet Military Lyceum; teachers; and cadets.
National Teachers’ Day is celebrated in Georgia every year on October 27, the birthday of Iakob Gogebashvili, a Georgian educator, publicist, children’s writer and public figure regarded as the founder of scientific pedagogy in Georgia. The day aims to highlight teachers’ role in society, recognize their contributions and promote the importance of the teaching profession.
