National Guard soldiers participate in tripartite exercise in Turkey

As part of the tripartite cooperation between Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, a search and rescue exercise named DAK-23 focused on natural disasters took place in Ankara, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.

Soldiers from the National Guard of the Georgian Defense Forces participated in this one-week tactical-level training alongside their Turkish and Azerbaijani counterparts.

The primary goal of the exercise was to enhance cooperation, coordination, and interoperability among the search and rescue teams of the three countries during potential natural disasters, with a specific focus on simulating operations after an earthquake.

The exercise is part of a rotation schedule, and Azerbaijan will host DAK-23 next year, followed by Georgia in subsequent rotations.
