National Archive initiates activities to commemorate 100th anniversary of 1924 anti-Soviet uprising

The National Archive of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia has launched a series of activities to commemorate the anti-Soviet national uprising of 1924. These activities will occur throughout 2023-2024.

As part of this project, the National Archive has planned various initiatives, including the publication of books, organizing exhibitions, conducting public lectures, hosting a conference, and creating educational videos.

These endeavours aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of Georgia’s struggle for independence in 1921-24 following the occupation by Soviet Russia.
