National Agency of Mineral Resources participated in international program held in Korea on circular economy of critical minerals

Representatives of the National Agency of Mineral Resources, which operates under​ the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, participated in an international training program held in Seoul, South Korea, on the circular economy of critical minerals.

Deputy Head of the Agency Natalia Kharatishvili and the delegation presented a report on Critical Minerals Circulation: Current Situation, Challenges and Policy Priorities.

The program included meetings with branch experts, modern approaches to processing, and funding mechanisms. The participants visited state scientific and industrial facilities. The visit aimed to share best practices and new initiatives and define future cooperation.

Representatives from India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and other countries, as well as experts from the Asian Development Bank, participated.

The international training program was implemented under the organization of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and with the support of the Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center (GKEDC) of the Korea Development Institute (KDI).
